Rewilding Europe is a Netherlands-registered foundation dedicated to increasing wild nature in Europe. Working with local partner organizations across Europe, we are creating a network of spectacular nature reserves of at least 100,000 hectares each. They serve as examples of a new vision of nature in Europe, where nature stands more on its own feet and local economies benefit from a more natural landscape.
The role of the Office Manager is responsible for operational matters in the office and facilitating a smooth working environment. The office is an important place for us and we are specifically looking for someone who feels a great deal of responsibility for this and is able to represent Rewilding Europe. The Office Manager reports to the Lead IT & Operations and is part of the F&O team.
Responsibilities include inventory management and purchasing office supplies and food, contact person landlord and external suppliers, performing and coordinating maintenance work, handling incoming phone calls (RE phone), mails (RE infobox) and post (mailbox), preparing and sending outgoing letters and packages, performing copy shop work, planning and organizing internal meetings, supporting planning and logistics of external meetings and events, making bookings for flights, train journeys, hotels and restaurants, point of contact for household topics, keeping public areas tidy, ensuring good office closure at the end of the day, letting in and receiving visitors, putting out and bringing in waste, taking care of plants.
Job requirements include a completed education at Mbo or Hbo level, ideally in the field of office management or administration, at least 2 years of work experience as an office manager or in a similar role, accuracy and strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to maintain calm in a dynamic environment, good communication skills, good practical knowledge of MS Office 365, professional proficiency in both Dutch and English, living in the vicinity of Nijmegen.
