One Acre Fund - TUBURA is an agricultural NGO working in East Africa to support smallholder farmers. We offer each of our members a set of services such as the delivery of agricultural inputs on credit and training with the aim of increasing harvests and income. Established in Burundi in 2012, we are a rapidly growing organization, which now has over 684 employees at the country level. Since 2020, we serve more than 290,000 households in 7(?) provinces: Muramvya, Gitega, Kayanza, Mwaro and Ngozi.
The role entails managing over $1 million in spending each year as part of over 1300 transactions and purchasing all operational goods and services on behalf of more than 290,000 smallholder farmers. We are looking for someone to help us improve process efficiency, save more than 5% of the purchase cost, implement process/system improvement projects, and strengthen the capacity of our Program teams.
Job requirements include more than 3 years of experience in a demanding professional environment, preferably in positions where frequent communication is required. Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply: More than 3 years of experience in commerce, logistics, public administration, economics, including: 2 years of experience in managing people and/or projects in areas such as procurement, logistics, public administration, business administration, consultancy, etc.
