- Create engaging social media content, particularly for Instagram and TikTok
- Develop graphic, audio, and video materials to highlight our services and campaigns
- Contribute to digital campaigns, including setup, testing, and promotion
- Assist in organizing both online and physical events
- Conduct interviews with service users and help them share their powerful narratives
- Encourage the participation of LGBTQI+ asylum seekers in our communication efforts
- Digital savvy with a keen interest in LGBTQI+ advocacy
Organisation - Rainbow Migration Rainbow Migration supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex (LGBTQI+) people through the asylum and immigration system. We have four goals. An asylum and immigration system that treats LGBTQI+ people fairly and with dignity. LGBTQI+ people who need protection are granted leave to remain. Optimum wellbeing and no isolation among LGBTQI+ people who are seeking asylum or have refugee status. The experiences and needs of LGBTQI+ people migrating to the UK are better understood inside and outside Rainbow Migration.
The Role - Comms and Campaigns Assistant This would be an ideal position for a creative, digitally experienced individual with a passion for LGBTQI+ campaigning. This role will receive full training and support to build your skills while making a real impact. Your responsibilities will include: Create and schedule eye-catching social media posts – with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. Create graphic, audio and video content to showcase our services and campaigns. Get hands-on with digital campaigns by helping to set-up, test and promote online campaign actions. Support the planning and delivery of online and in-person events. Interview service users and support them to turn their experiences into inspiring stories. Support LGBTQI+ people who have sought asylum to be involved in our communications and campaigns.
