What will you be doing?
As our Volunteer Social Impact Storyteller you are a compassionate and creative socialiser, skilled at managing social media accounts across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook. This role is vital in helping us share the stories of our community members, helping people understand the impact of addiction on the whole family. Your work promoting our mission and our self-care and self-compassion programs for families can help people heal and end the generational cycles of addiction. Key Responsibilities: Social Media Management
Account Management: Oversee and maintain Blossome CIC's social media presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook. Monitor social media trends and engagement metrics to inform strategy.
Content Creation:
Design and create visually appealing posts using Canva that effectively communicate our mission and programs. Write engaging captions and stories that resonate with our community and highlight member experiences in our programs. Engagement and Community Building
Storytelling:
Collect and curate stories from community members who have participated in our self-care and self-compassion programs. Develop posts that showcase these stories, emphasizing personal growth, support, and the impact of our programs.
Interaction:
Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and supportive manner. Foster a sense of community by encouraging discussions and interactions among followers.
Content Calendar:
Assist in developing a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting across all platforms. Collaborate with team members to align social media efforts with organisational events and initiatives.
Analytics and Reporting:
Track engagement statistics and provide regular reports on social media performance to identify successful strategies and areas for improvement.
What are we looking for?
Knowledge of social change and making a positive social impact Skilful with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook. Deep knowledge of social media analytics and metrics. Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools. Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to convey empathy and understanding. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage with diverse audiences in a compassionate and respectful manner.

With Personal Stories you can highlight testimonials and success stories from families, showcasing resilience and hope.Your social skills can Enhance Visibility, organising collaborations, partnerships with influencers, other organisations, and community leaders to broaden reach and impact.You will contribute to Advocacy and Change, using the platform to advocate for policy changes and support systems that benefit families affected by addiction.
