What will you be doing?
Overview The role of the HQ Human Resources team is to provide the IYF and its leadership with the best strategic HR advice. Leading the provision of HR business-focused services; the team delivers best practice HR services and interventions that deliver results. Under the guidance and the overall supervision of the Assistant Secretary-General/Director Bureau of Management, the Director, Human Resources is responsible for oversight and the implementation of the human resources strategies in the organization, in addition to effective delivery of HR services and management of the Headquarters HR Team. He/she analyses, interprets and applies HR policies, rules and regulations, establish internal procedures and provides solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR issues. The Director promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach and contributes to the maintenance of high staff morale. Duties and Responsibilities (A) Provide HR strategic management support: • Defines the global vision and strategic direction of the organization’s human resources-management practice consistent with evolving business needs and best practice, and leads and drives change to achieve the identified vision; • Exercises thought leadership, introduces and originates methods and systems to align talent to give effect to the IYF’s workforce; • Identifies risks and ensures quality assurance for all people processes and systems, liaising with independent evaluation, ethics and other oversight bodies; • Approves HQ HR annual work plans, and collaboratively sets objectives, performance measurements, standards and expected results and delivers within agreed budgets and timeframes; (C) Provide HR leadership support: • Establishes the parameters, and provides strategic direction to the work programmes and strategies of the accountable areas of the Headquarters Human Resources team (HQHR) to achieve results; • On behalf of the IYF Management, oversees the administration of the IYF Representatives’ assessment, selection and placement processes including IYF governance arrangements; • Provides crisis response as appropriate for people matters in sudden and unexpected emergency situations; Full JD attached towards the bottom of the page.
What are we looking for?
A minimum of five years of experience and results are preferred in human resource, administrative/management role, development, communications, youth issues, sport, women empowerment, youth-led organizations, or another relevant field.
