Role Summary

  • Manage multiple greenfield development projects from initial design to the pre-construction phase.
  • Ensure timely delivery of planning applications through effective project program management.
  • Coordinate project teams and manage communications, including reporting and issue escalation.
  • Lead the procurement and management of external consultants for environmental and planning assessments.
  • Engage and establish relationships with key municipal stakeholders.
  • Oversee design management, incorporating civils, electrical, and safety requirements for BESS projects.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience in project development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong project management capabilities including program, budget, and risk management.
  • Experience with planning applications and local municipality liaison.
  • Skilled in managing external consultants and stakeholder engagement.
  • A solid understanding of grid, design, and land aspects in project development to oversee technical specialist inputs.

Senior Permitting PM

Description

The Development Project Manager role is critical to the success of Field’s German pipeline of battery energy storage system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, covering all areas of project management and taking projects from concept design phase through to construction. You will deliver a pipeline of ready-to-build projects ready for handover to construction. 




Key Responsibilities

This is a broad and varied role with the opportunity to have massive impact. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, including:

    • Creation and ongoing management of project programmes to ensure timely delivery of planning applications; 
    • Leadership and coordination of core project teams 
    • Reporting and escalation

  • Delivery of high quality planning applications for greenfield projects including:

    • Procurement and day-to-day management of external environmental and planning consultants to deliver all assessments needed to support a planning application; and
    • Stakeholder engagement with key municipal stakeholders


  • Design management

    • Understanding of relevant civils, electrical and safety design requirements for BESS;
    • Management of external consultants to deliver site investigations and surveys to inform site design

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Experience  in project development, ideally within the renewable energy industry
  • Project management skills, including experience in programme, budget and risk management
  • Experience in submitting planning applications and managing relationships with local municipalities 
  • Experience of managing external consultants and stakeholder engagement
  • General understanding of grid, design and land elements of project development in order to manage inputs from technical specialists
