What will you be doing?
You will act as the first point of contact for your appointed survivor(s), offering face to face support and ensuring they receive the right support from volunteers and partner agencies. You will need the ability to undertake needs and risks assessments and create any appropriate support plans. The responsibilities include:
Connect with survivors and establish trust through weekly in-house 1-1 encounters. Conduct periodic progress assessments, maintain confidential records and complete a final Exiting Assessment at the end of 12 months. Assist with the moving and settling-in process e.g. assisting with G.P registration. Maintain a positive relationship that is reliable and consistent. First point of contact to signpost and recommend support services. Conduct needs assessments an ensuring adequate support is given where required Familiarise survivors with local amenities e.g. Supermarket. Familiarise yourself and signposting survivors to all services we provide. Notify any concerning interactions to CEO and ensure that any issues raised are resolved.

Essential:
Experience in working with vulnerable people Kind and compassionate listener. Friendly and approachable Good communication skills Able to establish relationships and maintain safe boundaries. Able to anticipate survivors' needs and encourage their participation. Able to follow and adhere to policies and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of GDPR policies, data protection, safeguarding, health and safety.
Desired:
Knowledge of modern slavery Demonstrable passion for Human Rights and social justice Able to use Microsoft software such as Word and Excel Organisational and written skills.
