About the Role

Collins produces resources for UK and International curricula to support teachers and pupils at school and outside the classroom environment. 

Our educational publishing continues to deliver up-to-date and engaging student resources and exceptional teacher support to help schools tackle new initiatives and utilise the latest technology. 

This role will be supporting to develop Collins in international markets by building relationships with schools, educational institutions, ministries of education, bookshops, and distributors, and by attending relevant conferences. The role will involve supporting the Collins Learning International Sales Team and contributing to the broader goals of the department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and grow Collins sales by collaborating with local partners, schools, and the Collins teams in London, Glasgow, Glasgow, London, Dubai and Honley.

  • Work under the guidance of your line manager to define market priorities and implement growth strategies tailored to specific regions.

  •  Establish and maintain strong relationships with educational leaders and key decision-makers, positioning Collins as their preferred publishing partner.

  • Explore opportunities for partnerships on significant projects, showcasing Collins as a leading major publisher and provider of customised educational content to the local partners.

  • Conduct market research and provide actionable feedback on trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

  • Deliver exceptional after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • To liaise with other divisions to provide support on reaching educational markets.

  • Represent Collins at regional conferences, expanding the network of contacts and enhancing the brand's visibility.

  • Effectively use, maintain, and update Sprint (CRM system).

  • Actively contribute to the International Sales Team’s objectives, supporting the development and helping build the future strategy of the export department.  

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and demonstrate commercial sense.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are an advantage.

  • Strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving business development. A confident, persuasive communicator with the ability to build trust.

  • Be able to managemultiple priorities effectively while staying highly motivated.

  • A background in sales or an understanding of international educational systems is desirable but not essential.
