What will you be doing?

Bridging Barriers is dedicated to supporting young people from ethnically diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in various industries. As our organization continues to grow, the need for an efficient and scalable CRM system becomes increasingly essential. We seek a Salesforce Developer/Admin to support this critical CRM implementation, enabling us to streamline our operations, improve participant engagement, and enhance impact measurement. A customized Salesforce CRM will provide Bridging Barriers with a centralized platform to manage data, track participant progress, and monitor program effectiveness. Currently, managing data for over 2,000 young people across multiple initiatives, including mentoring cohorts, virtual masterclasses, and networking events, involves various platforms and processes. Implementing Salesforce will consolidate these efforts into a unified system, enabling us to handle a larger volume of participants without compromising the quality of our support or the accuracy of our data. The Salesforce Developer/Admin will play a pivotal role in building and customizing our CRM to meet the specific needs of our organization. This role involves designing workflows and automations to streamline processes like participant registration, session tracking, and feedback collection. Automation will save our team valuable time and resources, allowing us to focus on program delivery and participant engagement rather than administrative tasks.  The Salesforce Developer/Admin will also help us integrate data from various sources and ensure data security and compliance, aligning with our commitment to safeguarding participant information. Salesforce’s robust security features will enable us to manage sensitive data responsibly, building trust with our participants and partners. Additionally, having a dedicated Salesforce specialist ensures that we maximize the platform's potential, benefiting from continuous improvements and configurations tailored to our evolving needs. Overall, a dedicated Salesforce Developer/Admin will help Bridging Barriers leverage technology to deepen our impact, enhance our operational efficiency, and set the foundation for long-term success. This CRM implementation is a strategic investment in our ability to support underrepresented young people on their career journeys, bringing us closer to our vision of a fair and inclusive workforce for all.

What are we looking for?

The ideal Salesforce Developer/Admin for Bridging Barriers will bring essential technical skills, nonprofit experience, and a commitment to social impact to ensure our CRM implementation supports our mission and growth. Key Skills and Experience

Salesforce Development: Proficiency in Apex programming, Lightning Web Components, and APIs, with a strong grasp of configuration, including workflows, automations, and custom objects tailored to our program needs. Data Management: Experience in data migration, integration, and quality management for maintaining clean, reliable participant data across our initiatives. Security and Compliance: Familiarity with Salesforce security settings to safeguard sensitive participant information responsibly.

Relevant Background

Nonprofit CRM Experience: Experience working with nonprofits or educational programs where participant tracking and impact reporting are key, ensuring our data supports program and funder reporting needs. Adaptable Project Management: Skilled in implementing Salesforce projects end-to-end, including user training, support, and troubleshooting, to make the CRM accessible and effective for our team.

Core Qualities

Mission-Driven: Strong alignment with Bridging Barriers' goal of empowering underrepresented young people, with the motivation to drive impact through technology. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strategic thinking for streamlining workflows and tackling CRM challenges, contributing directly to program efficiency. Communication and Detail Orientation: Clear communicator who can guide non-technical team members while maintaining accuracy and accountability in managing data.

This expertise and dedication will ensure the CRM becomes a powerful tool in advancing Bridging Barriers' support for young people, making data-driven growth and impact sustainable.

What difference will you make?

A Salesforce Developer/Admin will have a transformative impact on Bridging Barriers by optimizing our processes and enhancing our ability to support young people from underrepresented backgrounds. With a customized Salesforce CRM, we can centralize participant data, streamline program tracking, and improve operational efficiency across our initiatives, including the Turning Point program, monthly masterclasses, and networking events. This role will allow us to automate manual processes, such as registration, session tracking, and feedback collection, freeing up valuable time for our team to focus on direct engagement with participants. By designing tailored workflows, the Salesforce Developer/Admin will enable us to track individual progress and capture meaningful data on participant outcomes. This streamlined approach enhances our responsiveness to young people’s needs and provides a more personalized experience, which is essential to building their skills, confidence, and career knowledge. The Developer/Admin’s expertise in Salesforce will also ensure we maximize the platform’s powerful analytics and reporting features. With real-time insights into program effectiveness and participant impact, we can make data-driven decisions that continuously improve our offerings. This is crucial for meeting our targets, such as serving 500 young people annually through mentoring and other programs, and for demonstrating impact to funders, which supports our fundraising goals. In essence, a Salesforce Developer/Admin will empower Bridging Barriers to scale sustainably, deepen its impact, and operate with greater precision and accountability, helping us achieve our vision of a more inclusive and equitable workforce for all.
