Role Summary
- Draft, negotiate, and provide advice on a variety of commercial agreements.
- Update customer-facing terms and conditions.
- Support the rollout of new products and promotions.
- Manage supplier contracts and assist with legal tech implementation.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Team on regulatory matters.
- Contribute to a range of legal activities, including IP, employment, and litigation.
- Educate the business on legal developments and manage external legal advisors.
Role Requirements
- 4-8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, preferably with some in-house experience at a startup or scale-up.
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively.
- Commercially pragmatic approach and excellent relationship-building skills.
- Financial services or regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Fluency in English and strong research skills.

What you'll do
As a key member of the Legal Team, you will: Draft, negotiate and advise on agreements across a broad spectrum of commercial matters, including suppliers, banking partners, marketing and IT procurement. Assist with the drafting and updating of customer-facing terms and conditions and related materials. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to assist with the rollout of new products, processes, and promotions. Play a key role in supplier management, including contract review for our material suppliers. Assist with the implementation of legal tech (both AI contract review and heightened CLM functionality) to scale the function. . Assist our Compliance Team with regulatory queries. Support on a broad range of other legal activities, including IP, employment, property, and litigation, as needed. Provide training and education to the business on legal matters. Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and proactively advise the business on potential impacts. Work closely with and manage external legal advisors.Experience and Skills
4-8 years PQE* lawyer, with strong commercial experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm. If you have spent some time in-house at a start-up or scale-up, that's definitely a bonus. Experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of sophisticated commercial agreements. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to juggle and prioritize a large number of competing matters. Pragmatic approach to advice, with the ability to understand our business and apply an appropriate commercial lens to reviews. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly with those at a senior level. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. Financial services / regulated industry experience (preferred). Experience with legal research. Fluency in English.What's in it for you?
