  • Role Summary:
    • Work closely with the Financial Controller in handling the Purchase to Payables process.
    • Play a crucial role in process automation, aiding the company's growth and potential IPO journey.
    • Manage accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
    • Operate key financial tools and systems, like Spendesk and ApprovalMax.
    • Conduct bank reconciliations and support the Treasury function.
    • Improve purchase to payables efficiency, and foster strong supplier relationships.
    • Handle month-end procedures and contribute to annual audits.
    • Engage in ad-hoc projects, driving financial excellence.
  • Role Requirements:
    • Keen attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
    • A collaborative team player eager to support a mission-driven company.
    • Experience in accounts payable within a dynamic commercial environment.
    • Working towards or holding AAT/CIMA/ACCA or similar qualifications.
    • Proficient in Xero/ERP and bookkeeping.
    • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and Excel skills.
    • Quality control expertise and a dedication to data integrity.
    • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

About the team 

Our Finance team embodies the values of ZOE within an open, transparent and high-performingteam. About the role

In this position, you will be working closely with the Financial Controller and wider Finance team, your primary responsibility will be for the Purchase to Payables process, for a company which has a potential route to IPOin 5-7 years. You will be a significant contributor, and there is potential for your role to evolve as you support increased process automation and the business remit expands.

You'll be...

Maintaining the AP ledger, ensuring all invoices are recorded, approved and paid correctly in linewith supplier payment terms  Owning key software tools, such as Spendesk, ApprovalMax and Dext Preparing twice-monthly multi-currency payment runs  Actively managing the Finance inbox and internal communication channels by responding on a timely basis to vendor and employee enquiries  Supporting the Treasury function, performing bank reconciliations and cash summaries  Work proactively to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the purchase to payables process Developing good working relationships with our suppliers to enable any queries to beresolved professionally and efficiently  Accurately and efficiently recording all transactions in the company ledgers Ownership of month-end procedures, such as prepayments and supplier statement reconciliations Support annual company audit requirements  Support/lead ad-hoc projects

Key skills required...

Experience of working in accounts payable and accounting in a fast paced, commercial environment  Studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA or other similar accounting qualification and wish to complete your studies and develop as a finance professional Xero/ERP bookkeeping and accounts payable experience  Excellent attention to detail, delivering high-quality work with minimal errors Strong problem solving and analytical skills  Strong understanding of quality control methodologies to ensure data integrity and accuracy Proficient in process management, adhering to finance calendars and meeting deadlines  Self-motivated and able to work independently while delivering exceptional results  Team player with a “no task is too small” mentality  Strong Excel skills
