The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Registrar to join our Loans Section for up to 12 months (maternity cover). This role involves project managing incoming loans for temporary gallery displays, supporting the general management of the program of long-term loans, and coordinating a caseload of V&A short-term loan projects to single and multi-venue exhibitions worldwide.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a background in Registrar, Exhibitions, or Collections with direct experience coordinating incoming and/or outgoing loans. Knowledge of the UK Government Indemnity Scheme, fine art insurance, museum object transport, and outstanding negotiation skills are essential. You must demonstrate the ability to prioritize a high workload and deliver successfully to tight deadlines.
