The British Museum, the UK's most popular museum, is in the midst of an exciting period of change and will soon be hosting the renowned Bayeux Tapestry as part of a historic loan agreement. This position offers a unique opportunity to join this world-renowned institution as a Site Manager.
Role Summary

Role Requirements

The role: As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining exhibition galleries and temporary display spaces. Your duties will include ensuring safe site operations, coordinating with colleagues and facilities management stakeholders, and managing risk associated with construction activity. You will also facilitate effectiveness in all construction activities, managing the flow of information between the Museum, consultants, and contractors.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent practical experience, ideally with IPAF, Forklift licence, and First Aid qualifications. You should have experience managing construction projects involving multi-disciplined teams and working and negotiating with external contractors, consultants, and suppliers. A solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills and an adaptable attitude is essential.
