As an Eco bag Production Operator, you'll have an active role in shaping the tailoring world to be greener. You'll provide expert tailoring support for the production of eco-friendly bags and other fabric-based products, and also contribute to Freshlife Initiative's mission.

Role Requirements:
- Certificate in a Tailoring course
- 2-3 years of proven tailoring or sewing experience; Bag production is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret design patterns and production instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Ability to perform tasks independently
- Ability to work in teams with professionalism
Fresh Life works with municipalities and urban residents to develop and scale safe, citywide inclusive and financially sustainable sanitation solutions in fast growing cities starting with Nairobi, Kisumu and Eldoret in Kenya. Our innovative solutions are designed to suit the realities of today’s cities, which are densely populated and heavily built up, particularly in low-income areas.
The role of the Eco bag Production Operator is to provide skilled tailoring support in the production of eco-friendly bags and other fabric-based products, while actively contributing to the goals of the Freshlife Initiative. The role supports sustainable livelihood efforts by working closely with the Logistics team and taking on various tasks that enhance product quality and promote innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities include Eco Bag Weaving Support, Material Handling & Safety Compliance, 5S Implementation, Autonomous Maintenance (AM) & Preventive Maintenance (PM), Team Collaboration & Meetings, Documentation & Reporting, and Quality Control.
Qualifications required for this role include a Certificate in a Tailoring course, 2-3 years of proven experience as a tailor or sewer; experience with bag production is a plus, ability to read and interpret design patterns and production instructions, strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, ability to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders, ability to perform tasks under minimum supervision, and ability to work in teams maintaining professionalism.
