About Arka Learning
Arka Learning provides high-quality after-school educational programmes in Maths and English for children aged 6 to 12. Our mission is to make learning joyful and accessible for families across the UK.
With our first centre already up and running, we are now expanding to Twickenham and seeking an exceptional individual to lead this new location as Centre Director – in our first franchise-style role.
We have secured a space within a vibrant co-working and community hub in the heart of Twickenham, allowing the successful candidate to hit the ground running from day one.
This is a rare opportunity to run your own learning centre in partnership with Arka’s founders, who bring nearly 20 years of experience in the sector. They previously built — and continue to own — Keystone Tutors, one of the UK’s leading tutoring brands.
You’ll enjoy the autonomy of a franchisee, with extensive hands-on guidance, training, and operational support as we work in partnership to prove and refine the Arka franchise model. This is also a unique opportunity to join Arka at an early growth stage. As we expand, high-performing Centre Directors will be well positioned to take on additional centres and play a leading role in shaping Arka’s future.
The Role
As Centre Director, you will take full responsibility for the success of your Arka Learning Centre – from educational outcomes and team leadership to operations and local growth.
While you will lead day-to-day operations, you’ll work directly with Arka’s founders and receive active support in areas such as training, marketing, curriculum, teaching, systems, and strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering an exceptional educational experience for every student – overseeing free trials, guiding students through Arka’s structured learning programme, and ensuring sessions are joyful, calm, and purposeful.
- Growing your centre by building relationships with schools, parent networks, and community groups, and running local marketing events.
- Managing centre operations, including scheduling, safeguarding and administration.
- Building strong relationships with families, providing excellent customer service, and clearly communicating each child’s progress.
- Owning the commercial success of your centre – including student numbers, reputation, and visibility in the local area.
This role offers real autonomy, but you won’t be on your own. You’ll have direct access to Arka’s founding team, who are deeply invested in your success and will work closely with you to help your centre thrive.
Working Hours
We envisage this as a full-time or substantial part-time role, with a schedule that enables you to lead and grow a thriving centre. While there is flexibility in how you structure your week, centre opening hours are expected to include:
- Minimum: At least three weekday afternoons (between 4pm and 6.30pm)
- Preferred: Four weekday afternoons (4pm–6.30pm) plus either Saturday or Sunday opening (for at least four hours)
You will have flexibility to shape your schedule, provided it supports your centre’s growth and meets the needs of local families.
Earnings
Your earnings will depend on how many students you attract and how actively you run the centre. To give a sense of the potential range:
- A centre with around 20 members could generate £18,000+ per year in profit. This could be achieved on a part-time basis, operating approximately three evenings per week.
- A centre with around 50 members could generate £40,000+ per year in profit. To reach this level, the centre would typically open at least four days per week, including one weekend day.
We believe there is strong potential for centres to grow beyond this level, with higher membership numbers leading to commensurately greater earnings.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone ambitious, reliable, and motivated by the opportunity to build something meaningful. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, builds strong relationships, and takes pride in running a smooth, high-quality operation.
You do not need a background in teaching, but you should be:
- Passionate about making learning enjoyable and effective for children
- Confident leading a small team and taking ownership of a business unit
- Comfortable managing relationships with parents, schools, and colleagues
- Organised, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Excited by the opportunity to run your own centre with support from a wider network
Experience in education, tutoring, customer service, business operations, or community engagement is beneficial but not essential. Full training and mentoring will be provided.
Minimum Requirements
- Aged 18 or over
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS and reference checks

This is a franchise-style leadership role, offered as a pilot opportunity, with:
- No upfront capital required
- Full training, systems, and operational support
- Direct access to Arka’s founding team
- A generous profit-share model
You’ll have the freedom and responsibility of running your own Arka Learning Centre, with the backing of an experienced, values-led team committed to your success.
