About Us

Arts Council England is a vibrant entity that invests in arts, museums and libraries using public funds. We are putting together a unique national programme called the Cultural Education Network, aimed at elevating the competence and capabilities of educators in the cultural spectrum for students across England.

The Role

  • Work as a Cultural Education Specialist
  • Conduct one-to-one online sessions
  • Develop resources and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for teachers
  • Conduct webinars and in-person events
  • Cooperate with partners across the country to cohere our offerings.

We are currently developing a new and experimental national programme of support called the Cultural Education Network. This initiative aims to build the confidence, skills, and capabilities of teachers and cultural educators in developing cultural offers for children and young people in schools across England.

The Role: As a Cultural Education Specialist, you will be part of the team developing the Cultural Education Network. Your responsibilities will include delivering one-to-one online support sessions, developing CPD opportunities and resources for teachers and cultural educators, facilitating webinars & in-person events, and collaborating with colleagues, teachers, and educators from the creative and cultural sector. You will also work closely with our partners across England to ensure our offer complements others.

Job Requirements: We are looking for an approachable, proactive, empathetic and collaborative team-player. You should be creative and inquisitive with an appetite for building knowledge and expertise beyond your area of specialism. You should also be committed to contributing to the bigger picture and using evidence-led approaches.
