We are a London-based, award-winning, sustainable start-up that was founded last year in London and we are growing really fast. We’ve just raised our first round of investment and are ready to grow the team. We want to bring people a range of products that are better for the planet, that look slick and that are easy to use. Awareness for our brand is expanding quickly with a list of retail stockists (Selfridges, Amazon, Good Club and more in the works) and a growing community of customers shopping directly with us. 

About the role

This will be your opportunity to make your mark and shape the next grocery challenger brand with a strong mission. You will be holding the reins of Seep’s marketing plans and budget as well as being the guardian for Seep’s emerging brand. 

Your main objective in this critically important role will be to drive active customer growth and retention across the full funnel. As a challenger brand, we have a strong focus on return on investment and making every penny of our budgets work.

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following areas:-

  • Develop an integrated marketing plan which includes email, paid digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, brand collaborations, SEO and PR 
  • Manage the marketing budget to deliver strong return on marketing investment and top line growth through profitable CPAs and improving LTV
  • Create and coordinate the day-to-day marketing calendar
  • Shape and manage all organic social media channels driving growth and engagement. This will include influencer activities and brand collaborations.
  • Support, monitor and leverage paid performance marketing activity in collaboration with our paid marketing agency
  • Manage our email campaigns on our email platform and drive improvements
  • Work with our website agency to update product and brand content and drive online conversion rates
  • Use your creative flair to create on-brand visual and written content in line with the evolving brand identity and engage freelancers when needed
  • Review analytics across all marketing channels and action improvements and opportunities
  • Gather and analyse customer insight and using this to drive the marketing agenda
  • Coordinate and manage performance of our third party marketing agencies
  • Since we are an early stage startup you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time but we will try and keep this to a minimum :-)

What we’re looking for:

This is a key hire for us and the right person will ideally have

  • Lots of drive and energy to help us scale to the next level
  • A passion for sustainability and a desire to be part of a B Corp
  • The ability to think strategically and analytically but also be happy getting stuck in with execution 
  • A track record of driving customer growth and retention i.e. full funnel marketing ideally at another consumer brand - at least 3 years of experience
  • A deep understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to use data to find growth opportunities
  • Marketing budget management experience (organic and paid) with a focus on CPAs, LTV and channel mix
  • Exceptional and current knowledge of social media in particular Facebook and Instagram
  • Strong collaboration skills and a love for making things happen with team members, other brands, partners and customers
  • Experience of all marketing channels (organic/ paid) and how they can work together 
  • A creative eye and an ability to produce fresh and relevant content working with third parties where appropriate
  • Comfortable with working in a fluid and sometimes ambiguous environment that all start-ups have
