Business Development Manager

Here at ContentCal we are a creative, fun, driven and ambitious bunch on the hunt for link minded people. You’ll be joining the business at a super exciting time, as we’ve just secured $6.2 million in Series-A VC backed funding and are about to put it to excellent use.

We have an amazing team of Customer Success Managers, who are the experts at building and nurturing our client relationships. We are now looking for that special someone to join our team and help us expand our business by leveraging existing relationships to prospect and close new business opportunities!

Are you 'The One'?

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Partner with the Customer Success Managers with the objective of broadening our relationship and revenue in the client organisation by finding and activating new buying points and developing a strategic approach to upselling.
  • Understand existing business in key accounts and be targeted to grow that business by hunting more widely in the client organisations.
  • Consult with prospects to determine the best solutions for their specific needs and be an advisor to them on how they can improve their content marketing. 
  • Be confident presenting to senior executives and entrepreneurs via slide and product demonstrations.
  • Understand your customer base usage metrics to cultivate new product pipeline and upsell opportunities and partner with Marketing and Customer Success to deliver campaigns that engage and educate your customer base.
  • Deliver commercial outcomes by running a consistent sales process and setting next step expectations and contract negotiations with customers that close expansion revenue deals effectively.
  • Understand customer use-cases and how they pair with ContentCal’s solutions in order to identify new opportunities.
  • Network across different business units, locations and subsidiaries with each of your accounts to identify and engage new buyers.

Have you looked at the above and thought - "I can do that" - well, next we are looking for someone who has:

  • At least 3 years software platform sales and/or account management experience including online demos
  • Proven experience with the full account management process including account reviews, writing account development plans, identifying needs, holding product demonstrations and closing online generated leads
  • At minimum an understanding of the business benefits of social media, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram, preferable expertise in social media and content marketing techniques
  • The ability to work on multiple high frequency of deals simultaneously
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to build good customer relationships and think creatively
  • The ability to work well on own initiative with good time management
  • Strong knowledge of online tools and CRM systems
