Your role at Tony's Tony’s Chocolonely exists to make 100% slave-free the norm in chocolate. And because we don't only mean our chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide, we are pretty vocal about what we do.
You can imagine that marketing and communication plays quite an important role in that. Via many different communication channels, we reach our existing and new clients (chocofans). With communication channels we mean e.g. our Instagram page; displays at retailers; our chocoshop; and earned media like press releases.
In these channels, we believe our messaging should be outspoken, critical, entrepreneurial and it should make you smile. Next to that, we believe that endless creativity will help us to increase awareness for our mission and our products.
As our new marketing and communications intern, you support the marketing team with a diverse range of activities. You will be responsible for supporting trade marketing to translate our marketing campaigns to all our on- and offline points of sale and make sure that our chocofans are involved via our socials and website. You will also help to get the conversation started with our chocofans about topics related to our mission.
You will help out to communicate about these campaigns, involve chocofans and also hosting a physical/digital event(s) at the chocolate bar/-lab.

Here’s what you’ll do:
Developing communication materials for retail, eCommerce and our own stores
Develop & maintain communication for Instagram and our website
Communicate with Chocofancare about how to make our fans happy
Create & maintain communication about our broad flavour range to translate in different channels
Translate our Open Chain activities to straightforward communication
Create communication bundles for university/ high school projects
Support the social experts and the trade marketeer with executing the 21/22 fiscal year plan
The ideal candidate
You’re studying for/or recently graduated in marketing and communication or similar and you are looking to gain experience in a real work environment You are passionate about marketing and communication and you’re always on the hunt for the latest social media trend
You speak fluently both English and Dutch
You fully believe in the importance of Tony’s impact on the chocolate industry.
You’re creative with your ideas, curious, honest and you dare to be bold even if it means that you make mistakes - you quickly learn from them so they’re not repeated.
You’re comfortable in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and like to do things differently.
And last, but not least, you see yourself in Tony's core values (outspoken, wilful, entrepreneurial and makes you smile) and believe wholeheartedly in our mission to make chocolate 100% slave-free.
Now, the hard facts
You will be starting to work with us as of February 1st and will be available to work with us until August 31st.
We have adopted a hybrid way of working so you can decide when to work from home or partner up with your colleagues in the office. Hence, you’ll be able to commute to our Amsterdam office.
