Business Process Manager (BPM)

Leesman’s purpose is to make places of work better. In 2010 Leesman set out to provide organisations with the world’s first truly independent measure of employee workplace experience.  Since launching, our Index has measured over 5,600+ workplaces in 100+ countries and amassed 900,000+ individual employee responses to our standardised online survey, making it the world’s largest independent database of workplace experience. We have also expanded our offering to measure the experience working from home and are now helping organisations understand and plan for their future of work using our data-driven solutions.

The BPM is a new role within Leesman. The business has an immense opportunity for growth, which heavily relies on a more structured approach to how we run our business and internal operations, and the BPM will be key in driving that. 

You will drive and embed a culture of achievement and pace whilst supporting an operational excellence agenda that delivers tangible business value, ensuring quality and consistency of approach in line with best practice. The role provides a platform to challenge and improve our current methods alongside the freedom and creativity to craft a brand new role in an exciting and fast-paced business. You need to be curious and support other people’s curiosity, have the courage to challenge the status quo, and the ability to develop and champion solutions that go beyond the constraints that currently exist.

The BPM’s responsibilities are: 

  • Question existing business processes and systems, working alongside the leadership team (LT) and management team (MT) to implement best practice thinking and methodologies to identify, analys, and deliver improvement 
  • Design and implement new business processes and process management systems as needed
  • Work closely with the LT on strategic priorities, both as a facilitator and hands-on planning and delivery expert
  • Support our business organisation, including working with the LT and MT to refine the cadence and content of recurring meetings; optimising meeting effectiveness; and supporting with agendas, minutes, and moving actions through to completion
  • Own the overarching process and governance around planning and project delivery considering annual, quarterly, and day-to-day delivery processes and comms 
  • Partner with department heads to align on key deliverables and progress of milestones for strategic business initiatives
  • Demonstrate an infectious enthusiasm and passion for understanding our business and solving problems 
  • Leverage your natural curiosity to contribute to the creation of an engaging and motivating work environment, building up a pool of improvement opportunities which improve quality, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maximise experience

Requirements for success:

  • Advanced knowledge of large-scale project management disciplines with a real passion for the subject matter, curiosity, and desire to improve processes.
  • A 'completer-finisher’ who takes accountability to deliver ideas on time and within budget through application of specialist lean six sigma knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.
  • Able to cope and bring structure to ambiguous situations and problems with an agile and flexible approach to work in a rapidly changing environment, open minded, inquisitive, and questioning approach, with creative thinking.
  • Able to context switch, working with numerous workstreams/team members simultaneously to get stuff done in an efficient and collaborative manner
  • Strong change management skills and experience in assessing and building business readiness for change. 
  • Proven ability to implement change, both individually and as part of a team
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong facilitator, often working with more experienced and senior team members
  • Effective planning and organisation skills, being able to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, including strong business writing skills and ability to build business relationships
  • High degree of aptitude towards software product/digital development gained within an agile environment.

This role reports to the CEO. This is a full-time, permanent position.
