This is an opportunity to lead an exciting new area of work for Mind. You will be responsible for driving through our new cross-organisational programme of work around music. We’re looking for a dynamic self-starter who has experience of scoping, planning and managing events, as we roll out a series of music-based initiatives.
We are focused on positioning Mind as a key charity and charity partner in this space and, most crucially, to reach and support current and new audiences in new and powerful ways.
The purpose of this job is to build new influencer relationships in this space and secure new talent with the power to influence and connect with Mind’s key audiences. As the Mind Music Lead, you will be part of the Mind Media team and report to the Head of Media & PR.
The media team sits within Mind’s external relations department, which brings together all Mind’s campaigning, policy, communications, digital, information and legal work. The job will involve some out-of-hours work, including providing an effective on-call service.
You will work within a busy, high performing public relations team, working with colleagues and partners to further scope and deliver in this emerging space for Mind. This requires you to be a confident communicator, adept at networking and passionate about Mind’s mission and mental health. You will work especially closely with our celebrity and ambassador team who manage key celebrity relationships, including those across the music industry.

This position is in line with current guidance, the post holders will be expected to be in the office a minimum of two days (or more, depending on the arrangements of your team) but this role will retain some flexibility working from home (hybrid working).
