About the role

We’re looking for a talented salesperson to join Beam Recruit in a high impact and high visibility role. You’ll co-create and own our business development strategy alongside the Head of Beam Recruit, forming strategic partnerships that facilitate exponential growth in Beam’s operational model.

Beam Recruit is a startup within a startup: partnering with values-driven employers who want to hire from an exciting talent pool of disadvantaged candidates. Employment partners are key to our ability to scale impact for our beneficiaries, by supporting them into work, as well as providing a vital revenue stream to grow the business.

As a Partnerships Development Manager, you will drive revenue growth, lead on all aspects of identifying new leads, closing deals and managing commercial negotiations for nationwide businesses and SMEs, all whilst creating opportunities for some of the hardest to help people in society to get back into work.

You’ll be

  • Working cross functionally to develop and execute growth plans in the UK and beyond
  • Accountable for hitting revenue targets as we scale to >10x our current size
  • Proactively building your own pipeline of leads, producing monthly forecasts on revenue and developing relationships with stakeholders internally
  • Managing prospects across the full lifecycle, from discovery calls through to pitching, negotiation and closing commercial terms
  • Identifying trends in the jobs market and spotting new opportunities for Beam
  • Developing relationships with external stakeholders through networking, events, and conferences, and securing commitments to long term partnerships
  • Defining best practice for Beam Recruit’s CRM, including how we use the data and analytics to inform our business development strategy
  • Continually spotting ways to improve, simplify and scale our approach

You are

  • Passionate about innovation and social impact and committed to promoting equality of opportunity
  • Action-oriented and highly adaptable. You’re excited by the prospect of a varied role with a mix of strategic development and execution
  • An experienced negotiator, able to exceed sales targets
  • A strong strategic thinker and natural problem solver. You are able to spot opportunities and break down complex problems into simple solutions
  • Highly analytical, comfortable analysing data to identify and present actionable insights
  • Excited by joining a world-class team with a high-performance culture that balances social impact with team wellbeing
  • Excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves and proactively creating new opportunities

You’ll need

  • At least 4-5 years experience in a business development role in a high growth startup, ideally in a B2B environment
  • A personal track record of exceeding sales quota with experience selling a B2B offering
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. You are able to build relationships and credibility with a range of stakeholders including senior executives at nationwide businesses
  • Experience in delivering insights from datasets, creating and presenting decks internally and externally
  • Experience working with CRMs and internal product teams
  • A passion for ethical recruitment and diversity and inclusion
  • Experience within HR, recruitment and / or diversity and inclusion is preferred, but not essential
