Our product is a powerful solution that allows bricks and mortar businesses to activate any redundant space as storage space for a variety of e-commerce and logistics needs.

Role

As the Finance Associate for Parcelly globally, you will assist the Finance, HR, and Legal function globally. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You’ll receive unique exposure to work stream across all our regions and besides our team, you’ll work with leading law and accounting firms

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of operating budgets, financial statements, and reports
  • Process requisition and other business forms, check account balances, and approving purchases, issue invoices, and handle payments
  • Collaborate with internal departments to reconcile any accounting discrepancies
  • Analyze and present financial data and assist with audits, reviews, tax preparations, shareholder reports, and other reporting activities
  • Validate and update financial systems and reports with the latest available data
  • Review existing financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Assist with all HR functions and processes and payroll administration
  • Provide administrative support for the in-house legal function, and investigate and make recommendations on legal or contractual matters
  • Collate information, drafts briefs, provide reviews and markups and other legal or contractual documents

Requirements

In order to be successful in this role, you need to be an experienced Finance individual with a generalist approach and hands-on mentality. Ultimately, you’ll help maintain our company’s financial health and make sure we use our resources beneficially.

  • 3+ years experience in finance, accounting, or legal (rapidly changing environment, start-up/scale-up experience, logistics experience, are a big plus)
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, fiscal procedures, and applicable tax codes
  • Great analytical and problem-solving abilities with superb organizational and time-management skills plus exceptional attention to detail
  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment - you understand what drives value for each stakeholder in our space (merchants, retailers, carriers, team) and can make sensible commercial decisions to reflect this
  • First project management experience delivering on multifaceted projects with many stakeholders under informational uncertainty
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen, internally and externally
  • Fluency in English is required, as well as the right to live and work in the UK
