Operations Analytics Manager

London, Operations Analytics

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper and friendlier.

We’re building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:

  • One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just 100 people

  • Among the top 10 fastest growing tech companies in the UK

  • Profitable since 2017

  • Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs

  • Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9/5 in Trustpilot across 10,000s of reviews)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance - with more on the way. We get money into our customers’ hands within minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of these are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to:

  • Work in small teams of exceptional people, trusted to take ownership and make decisions quickly

  • Be relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo

  • Build the best technology in house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced analytics manager to lead the data team within our operations department. This role will work closely with Operations and Product teams and be the key point of contact responsible for overseeing the collection and curation of operational data, and for using this data to support all our customer facing teams and product improvements.

An ideal candidate has a track record of making significant process improvements, and is always looking for new tools and technologies to drive changes for the better.

We are an incredibly tech-focused company, and we’re looking for someone like-minded, with a focus on automation and data science, and the ability to lead technology and process change from inception to implementation.

This role is about owning the intent for our use of data in operations - not simply managing existing systems - and with the support of the COO and the operations leadership team you will play a key role in building our future organisation.

Your team’s objectives

  • The overall objective of the operations team is to help our customers get the most out of our products, in the most efficient and straightforward way, teamed with outstanding customer service

  • We support our customers through the entire product life cycle, across multiple channels and in multiple geographies

  • Our business is growing rapidly, and the operations team needs to grow alongside this - without simply “hiring more people”, and without comprising our service quality

How you’ll impact those objectives

  • You will understand our key business processes, and design and build reporting tools and dashboards to monitor, evaluate and improve them

  • Your technical skills will enable you to work closely with software developers to build more sophisticated operational tooling (e.g. data warehouse, data streaming etc.) to empower our customer service teams

  • You will combine information from multiple sources: integrating technical data, cultural insight and on-the-ground evidence to inform operational strategy

What we’re looking for

  • 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and data-led decision-making, in management or consulting roles.

  • Strong quantitative and technical skills - you don’t need to be a software developer, but some experience in programming languages such as Javascript, Python and SQL is important

  • Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, to make your case with data

  • Project management experience, as well as an understanding of product management in a technology company, is a strong plus

  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, or working with customer facing teams, is a bonus

  • Intellectual curiosity, a desire to bring novel approaches to existing challenges, and a technology-first mindset are key attributes for success at Lendable

Life at Lendable (also check out our Glassdoor page):

  • The opportunity to scale up one of the world’s most successful fintech companies.

  • Best-in-class compensation including equity.

  • You can work from home every Monday and Friday if you wish - on the other days we all come together IRL to be together, build and exchange ideas.

  • Our in-house chef prepares fresh, healthy lunch in the office every Tuesday-Thursday.

  • We’re growing and have moved to a brand new office in Shoreditch, but kept our penthouse loft for festivities.

  • We organise an annual trip with the whole company, to celebrate our milestones and reflect on our achievements.

  • We're an equal opportunity employer and are looking to make Lendable the most inclusive and open workspace in London
