Leading slow travel co. seeks energetic, natural salesperson and passionate traveller


We are seeking an energetic, natural salesperson with a passion for travel, new places and people, to lead our sales efforts across our entire portfolio of cycling and walking holidays. Destinations include Transylvania, Greece, Turkey, Italy and Rwanda, with more European and African trips offered from 2023. The role, supported closely by our management team, provides an opportunity to be the first designated salesperson at The Slow Cyclist. As such, the person we're looking for needs to be capable of creating a comprehensive sales structure, built to deliver on our ambitious objectives.

** It should be said that we're willing to wait to find the right long-term fit; so we're happy to consider candidates looking for contract or short-term work in the meantime.


Since 2015 TSC has been welcoming guests on imaginatively designed and exceptionally delivered cycling and walking journeys in Europe & Africa.

We believe travel is worth taking time over; that a great holiday means getting under the skin of a place and discovering the food, customs, history and people that make it special. Our guests are discerning travellers with a bit of juice in their legs; those who appreciate our intimate knowledge of some of Europe and Africa’s most special landscapes and cultures.


The successful candidate will need to show they are capable of:

  • Building a sales process capable of delivering on our ambitious objectives
  • Effective account management; specifically, maintaining regular communication with key guests and group leaders
  • Responding quickly and accurately to phone, email & web chat requests from the initial quote to confirmation of sale
  • Developing systems on Salesforce CRM
  • Developing relationships with travel agents in the UK, Europe and beyond
  • Working with our New Destinations team to plan sales targets for new destinations
  • Assisting with new business development
  • Working collaboratively with our after-sales team to ensure guests get the experience they are expecting

  • Have worked in the travel sector before


You can work remotely, although we value personal relationships amongst our team, so we ask everyone to come to our office in Oxfordshire at least two days a week. Overnight accommodation/travel expenses are provided. Some of our team are in the office every day.


  • Salary up to £45k (depending on experience)
  • Sales commission up to 15% of basic salary
