What will the job involve? 

As a Data and Insights Officer you will work as part of our growing operations team to make sure our award-winning tutoring programme is delivered smoothly and effectively. The key outcomes for this role are: 

Database Management: Take ownership of our Salesforce database system and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data and that day-to-day the structure meets our organisational needs. 

Reporting and Insights: Responsible for regular reports and sharing insights as required.   

Digital Systems: Be the go-to person for all our internal digital systems, supporting the wider team by providing periodical training and ad hoc troubleshooting.  

Compliance: Assist with ensuring Get Further remains compliant with data protection law, fundraising regulations, and safeguarding requirements in relation to its use of data and raise any areas of concern or data breaches immediately with the Director of Operations.

You will have:

  • Commitment to Get Further’s mission and values, including passionate about tackling educational inequality  
  • Willingness to learn, including through trial and error when exploring new systems, and with the tenacity to keep trying until a solution is found. 
  • Familiarity with database systems and ability to understand and communicate data relationships.  
  • Detail-orientated but able to also grasp the bigger strategic picture and what insights are required for different stakeholders 
  • Strong planning, time management and ability to manage multiple systems and projects.  
  • Problem-solver – enjoys trouble shooting 
  • Resilient and thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • Team player and enjoys collaboration to achieve the organisational goals  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and the ability to work independently  
  • Desire to learn, develop and advance personal career prospects 

You may also have:

  • Familiarity with the further education sector  
  • Experience with Salesforce Database 
  • Experience in using wider digital systems such as, Text Marketer, Form Assembly, WordPress, Shiftbase or Vedamo.  
  • Experience, interest in or commitment to a career in the charity sector
