The role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant with a passion for communications and reporting to join our team based in our London office.

This is an exciting role for someone who wants to apply their skills to help businesses, brands, government and NGOs tackle some of the biggest social and environmental challenges of our time. How can we help inspire the next generation to think about the power their pension has to drive change? How do we bring together the cafes and restaurants at a major international airport to improve their sustainability impacts? How quickly should a communications company move towards a zero carbon future, and how can it do that?

Our clients, who include household names such as Just Eat, Abel & Cole, Virgin Media, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, NatWest Group, Aesop, and The Coca-Cola Company, as well as social enterprises, charities, foundations, local authorities and start-ups, look to us to help them solve their challenges.

We have a relaxed and collaborative office culture and although our outputs are very professional, our structure and approach is far from corporate or conventional. Our team is passionate, thoughtful and opinionated, and come from a variety of backgrounds such as science, hospitality, advertising, history and economics.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has previous experience in a professional environment, ideally with experience of client and project management specifically in delivering sustainability reporting and communications projects
  • has a proven interest in business, current affairs and social and environmental issues
  • has exceptional written, verbal, analytical and communication skills, as well as a proven ability to develop and implement strategies
  • has strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • is fully competent in MS Office applications including MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • has a good understanding of social media and digital channels

Foreign language skills, particularly major European languages, are desirable but not essential.

You will be involved in a wide variety of client-focused assignments from the outset, working closely with our other consultants and our senior leadership team. Your work will be focused on our reporting and communications projects that we do for our clients. You will quickly take the lead on delivering sustainability reporting projects and communications briefs, however you will also have the opportunity to be involved in other projects that cover strategy development, research and analysis, social impact marketing and behaviour change strategies. It’s a fast-paced environment that requires people who are flexible, adaptable and willing to do what is needed to get the job done.

All of our projects are tailored to our clients’ needs, so although every assignment is different, you will develop skills that will apply to a range of projects. You will be a strong communicator, enjoy analysing problems, solving them collaboratively and creatively, and then putting solutions into practice.

Salary & benefits

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 plus benefits, depending on experience. 

Benefits: We offer 25 days holiday, as well as two “Good Days” for volunteering or a course. In addition, the office closes between Christmas and New Year each year. We want our team to feel able to make more sustainable travel choices for their holidays, so we offer up to two additional paid days for “slow travel” for holidays. We also offer a £500 Personal Development Fund to each member of the team to spend on any skills-based course of their choosing. Our healthcare provider is Vitality Health, which is available upon completion of the probationary period, and offers a range of additional lifestyle and health benefits.
