About the team

Our Growth & Payment team, and OPS Scaling team build software solutions to guide potential customers from initial curiosity about ZOE and their health, all the way to purchase, by offering them insights on the science behind our products, and the way it can change their lives. We then ensure that our consumers can experience seamless service and enjoy their ZOE experience. We handle all the logistics aspects of the physical parts of our products (logistics, shipping, returns, inventory management, exception management and more).

About the role

We are looking for a leader to take ownership of this area and encourage sustainable delivery at pace. You will partner with engineers, product managers and product designers to deliver great customer impact, enable our aggressive scaling plan and make ZOE a great place to work.

You'll be...

Leading a growing group of 15+ engineers, split in 2 teams, with one engineering manager each Coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing engineers and teams. Ensuring high psychological safety Partnering with our product and data science teams to establish the roadmap and achieve sustainable throughput while iterating fast Challenging engineers on system design, scope or sequencing to deliver faster while decreasing the technical debt. You are not afraid to dive into a very technical conversation Actively tackling any bottleneck in the system, wherever they are. You will get your hands dirty and help wherever is needed. We are looking for builders. Contributing to the evolution of our architecture, tools and processes Partnering with other engineering managers on cross cutting initiatives like hiring or onboarding

We think you'll be a great fit if you are...

Proven and reputable  experience in software engineering. While this role is not hands-on, you still consider yourself a software engineer at heart and are not afraid to get your hands dirty Are passionate about  leading a distributed full-stack team, in a fast pace environment. You have managed 15+ reports before, preferably more Are someone taking ownership and comfortable with ambiguity. You provide clarity and make things happen Has an appetite to understand the business in depth and work closely with our internal and external partners to test and release new ideas fast.  Have a data-driven mindset. You challenge teams to measure impact and demonstrate added value Have great communication skills. Both verbal and in writing

Our interview process...

Intro to ZOE with a Talent Partner VP of Engineering intro (30mins) We will ask you to teach us something technical asynchronously (text or video) to assess your ability to go in-depth and communicate Tech (knowledge questions, system design) and behavioural interviews (3h) Final interview with our VP of Engineering (45mins)
