The Church of England is actively working towards a sustainable future with their nationally acclaimed Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programme. This initiative is dedicated to supporting all sectors of the Church in reducing carbon emissions from their establishments and work-related transportation by 2030.

Role Summary:

  • Work with the NE cluster to spearhead NZC fundraising efforts across the region.
  • Access statutory bodies, grant-making trusts, and other sources willing to finance NZC and other environmental improvement activities.


Role Requirements:

  • Applicants should be experienced fundraisers capable of coordinating and supporting plans developed by dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure funds and distribute grants to further fundraising efforts.

  • The role offers a competitive salary of £38,230 per annum.

The Church of England has developed a national Net Zero Carbon programme to fulfil its commitment to reach net zero by 2030. This programme aims to equip, resource, and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from energy used in its buildings, schools, and work-related transport by 2030.

The role: As a Net Zero Strategic Fundraising Manager, you will work alongside the NE cluster and lead a strategic approach to NZC fundraising across the whole area. Your main responsibilities will include accessing statutory bodies, grant-making trusts, and other sources willing to finance net zero and other environmental improvement activities.

Job requirements: The position requires an experienced fundraiser who is capable of coordinating and supporting plans being developed by dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure funds and distribute grants to leverage further fundraising.
