SANDOWS

Sandows are cold brew coffee specialists on a mission to become the brand synonymous with cold brew coffee in the UK.

Sandows was launched in April 2014 by baristas Hugh Duffie and Luke Suddards, who spotted a growing interest in cold brew coffee whilst working at a cafe in Soho. Inspired by the thriving category in the US, Sandows set out to make the best tasting cold brew in the UK.

We first started in the basement of Vagabond N7 in North London, and for the first year we made everything by hand, delivering cases of raw cold brew via Zipcar. In March 2015 we raised money via crowdfunding on Crowdcube.com to enable us to launch the ambient stable, specialty grade cold brew you see today. The campaign was successful and we raised the money needed under 48 hours.

Since then we have launched a range of new products and our cold brew is now available in four formats: ready to drink bottles, ready to drink cans, on draught, and in concentrate for the on-trade. 

Described as "the connoisseur's choice" and "the king of cold brew coffees," Sandows is at the forefront of the thriving ready-to-drink coffee category. By supporting Sandows, you are contributing to the growth of a UK business and a true start-up.

Sandows is named after iconic Victorian strongman Eugen Sandow who was renowned for his meticulous training methods. The barbells in our distinctive packaging are the perfect metaphor to describe the time, effort, and care we put into making our cold brew and building our brand.

Our cold brew is designed to appeal to the British coffee drinker. We aim to balance flavour, strength, and mouthfeel in a way that is particularly refreshing. We use only fresh, seasonal and speciality-grade coffees.
