So as Moju joins this special Top 1% community, we spoke to their Head of People, Joe Parsons, to tell us more about the organisation and their team!
Could you briefly introduce yourself and your organisation?
I am Joe, Head of People at MOJU. My role at MOJU is focussed on ensuring we can attract great people who align with our values, develop those people and create a workplace culture that keeps them engaged, satisfied and challenged! MOJU is the category leader in functional shots, aiming to be the UK’s favourite and freshest way to kickstart the day and help people live life with more mojo!
What makes you proud to be part of the Top 1%?
Being a genuinely great place to work is much more than ping-pong tables and putting the company card behind the bar at the local pub! The Top 1% looks beyond that and assesses a company’s commitment to being the best they can be for their employees, as well as clarity on the ‘why’ – mission, vision and values. This is something I am super passionate about and the Top 1% community shares that passion!
Could you tell us what you are most proud of about your workplace culture and what your most impactful people policy has been?
I am most proud that we have been growing significantly over the past 4-5 years and through a commitment to clear values and mission, have been able to retain the ‘essence’ of the business when it can so easily get lost with the level and scale of growth.
I feel our most impactful people policy is one that is not so much a ‘policy’ than a reciprocal understanding around flexible work. We don’t have specific rules and stipulations around this in favour of a culture that provides high levels of flexibility based on trust, judging output over visibility and collaborative, transparent workstreams.
What are you excited to bring to your team in 2025?
2025 marks MOJU’s 10 year anniversary and to celebrate, we are all going abroad together, as a celebration and thank you to the team. No planning sessions or workshops, just some downtime in the sun with the team!
