We’re looking for an experienced brand-led marketing manager to join our dynamic and creative team. Storytelling and content are part of your marketing tool kit and you are able to translate business requirements into successful marketing campaigns.

Based at our custom-built head office in Cornwall, The Hangar, at the Aerohub Business Park, just outside of Newquay and 10 minutes away from Watergate Bay.

Another Place is a growing collection of hotels that shares the same relaxed, active, and social ethos as Watergate Bay Hotel.

On the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District, Another Place, The Lake is the first hotel in the collection. Our marketing department have worked with the hotel since 2016. The hotel is the ideal place to explore the wilderness, swim beneath a full moon, eat and drink well, relax and have a good time.

The second hotel is The Machire, a 47-bedroom hotel nestled in the dunes of a seven-mile beach on the Hebridean island of Islay. A modern, relaxed hotel with a world-class championship golf links, and views over the island and sea and the finest Scottish produce. The Machrie joined the collection in February 2024.

What your days could look like:

You’ll be working with the sales and marketing director to develop and implement an annual marketing and PR strategy for Another Place hotels, with a focus on enhancing guest experiences and driving sales. Responsibilities include managing owned media, digital marketing, PR, and guest communication to attract new guests and encourage repeat guests from our targeted demographic.

Our brand has been carefully created and destination marketing is how we promote the hotel, you will be a brand ambassador and use content marketing to highlight the destinations.

We’re seeking a digital-savvy marketer with a blend of traditional and data-driven approaches, who can work closely with our design manager, web and ecommerce manager and digital content marketer, to support the marketing activity of our other brands where necessary including Watergate Bay Hotel.

As the marketing manager you will be responsible for:

• Brand storytelling and content
• Community and guest relationship management and communication including
• E-newsletters
• PR
• Website updates and SEO
• Social media and advertising
• Sponsors, partnerships and events
• Reporting

Job skills and requirements:

• Previous marketing manager role for over four years, with experience of managing a marketing budget and strategy.
• Experience of brand marketing
• Relevant marketing qualifications and marketing and sales experience to a high level
• Excellent written English
• Email marketing software experience – we use Revinate and Mailchimp
• Online marketing tools experience including social media advertising – Google analytics, GA4 and webmaster tools, social media platforms and monitoring/ scheduling tools – we use Sprout Social
• Understanding of the distribution network and channels available for our content
• Experience of PR campaigns and media monitoring
• An understanding of property Management System (PMS) software – we use ResortSuite, Agilysys and ResDiary
• Use of project management software – we use Trello
