Ready to do something different?

Maybe you followed the rules: you got good grades, landed a respectable job, and started to work your way through the ranks. As far as everyone else is concerned, you’re ‘successful’. However, you may be finding yourself wondering – is this it?

But you’ll have invested time and energy into your career so far, and it’s not easy to decide to take a different direction. More to the point, what direction should you take? Some people seem to ‘just know’ – for the rest of us, it can feel like a bit of a mystery.

How do you pivot your career? And how do you create exciting opportunities for yourself? Will you have to take a massive step down? What about money? How can you move into an industry you have no experience in?

That’s where the Career Change Accelerator comes in.

Key Info

The sessions take place every Tuesday evening from 6 - 8pm. Dates for the June 2024 programme are 18th June - 6th August.

All sessions are online and can be joined via a video call link. The sessions are collaborative, workshop-based, and designed to create the experience of being in the same room together as much as possible, using digital tools and group participation. Materials and summaries will be shared at the end of each session for further reference and reflection.

What's involved?

The Career Change Accelerator is a virtual programme lasting for 8 weeks, an immersive, hands-on, experience that will help you overcome your doubts and fears, find direction, take action and create exciting new career opportunities for yourself.

Expert-led Curriculum - To demystify the career change process based on the very best knowledge of career change experts. Demystify the career change process, saving you time and energy in the long run.

The Escape Toolkit & mindset To empower you to take action. Although it takes more than 8 weeks to launch into a dream career, our course will massively accelerate this process. We’ll equip you with the tools & mindset needed to make your career change happen.

Accountability & Community - To move from thinking to doing. Making a change alone is hard. But with likeminded peers, knowledgable and supportive leaders, you’ll have the guidance and accountability to make changes and maintain the momentum.

What you'll learn?

Over 8 weeks, we’ll help you take stock of your career to date, set strong intentions for your future direction and get clear on how to use your skills in new ways. You will develop a best practice career change toolkit to empower you to deliberately build a career on your own terms and upskill you for the future of work.

The Accelerator is for ambitious, talented people who are ready for a new way of building a career where they can really shine.

What outcomes can you expect?

Everyone’s journey towards fulfilling work is unique, and often once they’re on the Accelerator, people realise that the change they actually need is very different from what they originally thought.

By the end of the Career Change Accelerator you will have:

• Created new career opportunities for yourself in your area of interest
• Built a personal portfolio to effectively showcase yourself to potential employers
• Built an Escape Roadmap with milestones and actions to navigate your Escape
• Gained clarity on your ‘blockers’ — the things that are keeping you stuck and have created a resilience plan to stop yourself from burning out
• You will have gained the confidence to take control of your career and change your direction
• Derisked your Escape by building a financial transition plan and Escape Fund
• Taken stock of your career history and highlighted the ingredients of fulfilling work that are missing for you
• Gained good understanding of the unhelpful stories you’re telling yourself and begin to articulate new potential paths and possibilities
