Imagine if we could do one thing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 10%.

That’s how much food waste contributes to the climate crisis, and yet we continue to waste more than one-third of all the food produced in the world. 

At Too Good To Go, we’re on a mission to change that. Our app connects businesses that have surplus food at the end of the day to consumers who want to purchase it for one-third of the retail cost. Since our founding in 2016 we have grown to become the world’s number 1 app for fighting food waste, with over 100 million meals saved. 

We launched in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal in 2021, and have big plans to expand in 2022. We need an energetic Bilingual Customer Care Specialist to join our Success team as we grow this movement.

Your mission

Reporting directly to the Head of Success, you are the main contact for our customers. You will be the voice of Too Good To Go to our users and turn them into ambassadors by providing efficient and friendly customer care. You’ll inspire and empower our users to take action against food waste and to become part of the movement.

Your role

  • You will be the voice of Too Good To Go to our users, ensuring they receive amazing customer service by answering enquiries over email, chat and Social Media in a timely and effective manner
  • You will coordinate with the wider team to ensure customer feedback and issues are acknowledged and followed up on internally or with partners
  • You will work to identify trends in the customer experience and develop initiatives to improve their experience
  • You will be a brand ambassador in all your communications with our customers as you encourage, inspire, and empower our customers towards more sustainable behaviour
  • You understand and communicate our customers' needs and motivations to our internal teams locally and globally 
  • You will develop in-depth knowledge of how Too Good To Go works and use this expert knowledge to assist the wider team

Requirements

  • You have full professional proficiency in English and French and are comfortable writing and speaking in both languages
  • You have experience in customer service, preferably both in a B2B and B2C environment
  • You’re a first-class and inspiring communicator and are able to draw on those skills to set the bar high
  • You think analytically and are solution- oriented
  • You are empathetic and remain professional and helpful under pressure
  • You are a team player who loves helping others, building positive relationships and resolving conflicts with our users
  • You are detail- oriented and stay focused even when you have to handle repetitive tasks
