Information Security Consultant

We are looking for a hard-working, energetic and well-organised individual to join our team of security specialists as an information security consultant.

While we welcome applications from people with experience in the security sector, having a passion to learn from others is more important.

The role would involve:

• conducting information security assessments
• managing a program of cyber vulnerability assessments
• producing accurate technical reports detailing in a language understood by both technical SMEs as well as less technical stakeholders
• assimilating and understanding system knowledge by engaging with client service providers and other stakeholders
• delivering oral briefs to senior and junior client managers on technical vulnerabilities and risk
• maintaining a knowledge of current cyber issues, vulnerabilities and exploits

The right person would have:

• at least 2 years commercial experience
• effective communication and written skills
• great ability for organising and project managing
• able to present on paper and convert complex information into manageable documents
• prior experience of working independently and being a self-starter
• the character to work alone, the right personality to work within a team, and the ambition to work anywhere in the world

......they might also have the following technical skills and experience:

• good knowledge of network and endpoint security fundamentals
• familiarity with industry frameworks such as NCSC CAF, NIST CSF, CIS Top 18 and ISO
• familiarity with technical security assurance activities such as Red Teaming, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessments and Compliance Audit
