For individuals looking to change their career, we offer private bootcamps, funded bootcamps or apprenticeships. For organisations looking to build diverse tech teams, we offer permanent hires, contractors or apprentices. We’ve already trained over 3,000 talented individuals who are now working at over 300 leading brands, but we want to do more.

As the Content and Campaigns Manager you’ll be the voice behind the Makers brand, responsible for delivering informative, inspiring and entertaining content to B2B and B2C audiences across our channels. You’ll capture the diverse perspectives and stories of our community and ensure our values are represented through considered, purposeful content

What you’ll be doing

Strategy and planning

A creative first and foremost, your skills will be underpinned by a strategic and analytical approach, planning content in a timely manner, ensuring key themes feature in our calendar and have space to resonate with our audiences. You’ll report on campaigns ensuring our most successful topics are front and centre whilst pushing the boundaries of what we produce. 

Content creation with support from freelancers 

You’ll have ownership over Makers long form content, writing whitepapers, case studies, or blogs. You'll work closely with a team of freelance creatives to plan and produce SEO optimised video and social assets that position us as thought leaders whilst hitting USP’s and addressing client pain points. You’ll split your time between briefing and reviewing contractors' work and producing your own content. 

Key Projects

Your input will help to shape several key projects throughout the year including our flagship Women in Software event, and advising on our website rebuild, working with our contractors to ensure the content threaded through the website is SEO optimised and serves the next generation of Makers students and clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Write long form content for both B2B and B2C audiences e.g. whitepapers, case studies, blog posts etc.
  • Manage a multi-channel content strategy to engage both B2B and B2C audiences, highlighting our core values and promoting key activities: 
  • Continue to leverage our key channels LinkedIn,Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to engage with B2B and B2C audiences. 
  • Test marketing tactics where we can engage with users. 
  • Strategically plan content to meet objectives for each platform.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing agency to ensure cohesive content and campaigns across paid and organic social. 
  • Promote company news and events and celebrate key dates within our social calendar. 
  • Host monthly content meetings and report on campaign performance. 
  • Develop and schedule social media creative and copy: 
  • Write briefs for video, photography and social creative, working with our Marketing Coordinator and freelance creative team to capture content to showcase our programmes. 
  • Provide feedback and sign off for all social content. 
  • Create social media creative (including videos) using Canva. 
  • Social moderation of our key channels.
  • Manage and deliver the apprenticeship promotion process. 
  • Liaise with teams across the business to ensure consistency across voice, branding and messaging.
  • Key projects 
  • Liaise with website contractor advising on content strategy for new website 
  • Support with promotion of our annual Women In Software Awards. Ensure the event has it’s own look and feel whilst tying into Makers over all brand and messaging 
  • Work with our digital marketing agency (Growth Division) to manage our digital strategy.
