We are seeking an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset & business acumen to lead all financial processes at Luminary - across our business and charity activities. As a small but growing dynamic social enterprise, this role involves working closely with department Managers and Leadership to oversee all financial activities, managing our outsourced bookkeeping service and liaising with external auditors and Directors.
Job Title: Finance Lead
Locations: A mix of Camden, Hackney & WFH
Reports to: Luminary CEO
Job Purpose: Responsible for running the Finance Department of Luminary Ltd (Charity) And Luminary Bakery Ltd (Business) Developing, implementing & managing financial systems / processes and reporting to facilitate the success and growth of Luminary.
Hours: Flexible - Full time or Part time available (approx 30 hours per week)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Necessary:
- Accounting qualification (such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA, AAT)
- Advanced competency and experienced in using Quickbooks or similar accounting software and accrual method of accounting
- Entrepreneurial mindset & business acumen
- Minimum 3 year’s accounting experience
- Proven leadership experience, in similar senior positions
- Analytical mindset
- Takes initiative to create & improve systems
- Excellent technology proficiency - Advanced Excel, competent with Gsuite, Online banking, Dext, HMRC, Video Conferencing, Slack, etc
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and prioritise appropriately
- ‘Can-do’ attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible to business changes
- Sympathetic to the Luminary Faith Policy & supportive of the organisational values
