Future Foundations is excited to be looking for a Head of Programme for a programme working with schools and young people in the UK at both primary and secondary levels.
The Dirt Is Good Schools Programme has been created to empower young people to take action on the environmental and social issues that they care about, narrowing the Values perception Gap in young people and to normalise acting on social and environmental issues.
- Location: Future Foundations, Devas Club, 2a Stormont Road, London SW11 5EN (Hybrid working)
- Hours: Full time - Five days a week (35 hours a week). Flexible working with core hours of 10:00-15:00
- Remuneration: £40,000 per annum
- Annual Leave: 36 days annual leave, including Bank Holidays plus a day off for your birthday.
Please note that you will need to complete an Enhanced DBS for this role.
Key Responsibilities for the Role
These are some of they key areas of responsibility. Other areas would include staff management including Line Management, overseeing events and production elements.
Programme Management:
- To oversee the overall management of the programme at the top level, including the programme budget, meeting of targets and reporting to the Programmes Director
- To oversee the planning, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the programme
- To create and manage a Programme Operational Plan, with clear review and learning built into the plan
- To oversee and support others in the team to manage their own areas of the programme plan; this includes the School Engagement Manager and Pilot Programme Manager
- To ensure all FF policies and procedures are being followed to ensure safe and high-quality programme design and delivery, such as creation of Risk Assessments
- To ensure data safety on the programme in-line with both Future Foundations and the clients expectations and policies
- To oversee use of the CRM system set up by the client, and any additional systems used by Future Foundations to ensure good document and data management
Client liaison:
- To communication with the client, which will include submitting regular reports or presentations to client
- To ensure excellent client liaison and that the programme meets targets
- To keeping the client up to date on all programme activities
- To lead on discussion of any requested changes in programme scope or changes to planned activities as required
- To lead on liaison with the client in regards to the CRM system development and management
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
- PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification (or equivalent experience)
Essential Experience
- At least 5 years of programme management experience including budget oversight (direct management) and risk management
- Strong operational and logistical experience
- Experience in leading and developing a small team to deliver high quality, large scale, programmes with ambitious targets
- Experience of working with and managing a range of stakeholders such as corporate clients, schools, and third sector delivery partners
- Experience of tracking performance against KPIs and reporting on progress both internally and to external stakeholders/ clients
- Experience of programme development including the piloting of new programme aspects or approaches
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in the youth or education sector
- A proven background of successful school engagement
- Experience of managing a team which includes permanent staff as well as specialist consultants
- Experience of curriculum design and content creation
- Experience in the use of CRM systems
- Experience using Wordpress and other website software
- Experience of using MailChimp or similar systems
- Experience of using Smartsheets or similar project management tools
