Ninety Consulting is a wholly owned subsidiary of a registered social enterprise, Ninety CIC, and 90% of our distributable profit goes to such causes, with the other 10% being shared amongst staff as a profit share. Overview
At Ninety, we want to revolutionise the innovation training industry for companies, incorporating continuous learning and specific interventions as an internal tool for developing innovation skills in a digital environment in constant transformation. We use technology and creativity to build a learning platform which will include hybrid through to 100% online learning. And now we are looking for a Learning Experience Designer. You will play a decisive role in the growth of Ninety’s Skills team, reporting into the Ninety Partner overseeing Skills.
Line managed by a senior team member and working very closely with the Skills Head of Training, Training Specialists, Engineers, and the IP Team.
The role here will be responsible for helping design and then delivering training programmes. The key focus of this role will be planning the operational aspects of self-guided programmes, coordinating all the departments involved and monitoring key quantitative and qualitative indicators to be met including the set-up, onboarding and reporting. Moreover, you will oversee the quality of the self-guided products in terms of usability, functionality, adaptation
to the instructional scripts. You will also carry out the production of the necessary courses.
Finally, you will work with the Skills team to deliver Ninety’s existing training offerings to clients. You will be working within a Skills team that focuses on delivering individual training programs, virtual e-learning courses and other innovation-specific educational offerings. Depending on the product need, the approach will assemble different groups of training capabilities from within the team.
We are looking for someone who is eager to get their sleeves rolled up, willing to be involved across the design, development and delivery of our training offering with clients. You must have a strong innovation and/or training record. The philosophy of Ninety’s training is based around creating an atmosphere which is highly collaborative and engaging and being able to embrace this ethos is essential.
The role is likely to suit people with agency or consulting backgrounds, developing products in digital functions. Significant experience on projects at a proposition testing / design specialist (e.g. Market Gravity, Adaptive Lab) could be highly relevant. The role may suit people with client-side experience, and particularly those with good innovation or digital experience in the insurance sector. The role may also suit tech startup entrepreneurs who have been learning how to build their own products and services, and want to use these sorts of techniques with a wider team around them and a greater variety of opportunities.

Purpose of the role
Your main functions will be to work on the development – both continuous improvements and new products - of our e-doing platform, manage partner engagements and define
processes that aim to improve productivity and efficiency, cost optimisation, and scalability of the platform itself, plus maximising the functionality that the platform presents.
Role responsibilities
- Design and develop products that are both attractive for customers and economically viable.
- Establish people-centric strategies for our e-doing platform, fusing the practices of design and strategy to structure the business impact of design at a strategic,
operational, and organisational level.
- Uncover user needs through research, develop deep insights, generate concepts, and define business models that make financial sense.
- Participate in Service & Business Design activities for the e-doing platform, including client workshops, creative brainstorms, service design definitions, and conceptualisation of business ideas.
- Hands on research expertise, from ethnographic and other qualitative research methods to quantitative research skills including survey design and data analysis
- Support capability team in tracking the status of deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout live product deliveries.
Managing our E-doing Platform
- Be responsible for the day to day running of the platform including its development, maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Liaise with the platform strategy advisor and Skills leads to develop and deliver a roadmap of functionality and opportunities on to the platform
- Engage with the Skills Lead to partner and deliver the hybrid functionality required for a range of training offerings
- Provide the necessary reassurance to partners and participants regarding the security of the platform and its content
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding of users
- Help shape, define and grow the IP content on the platform
- Manage the user experience and journey flows end to end across the platform
Delivering Training
- Delivering high-quality training products, both self-guided and trainer-led, using Ninety Methodologies.
- Keeping clients highly satisfied and addressing issues, where appropriate, throughout the innovation process.
- Supporting innovation culture in ways of working with delegates and colleagues. Reporting plans, activity / deliverable status and progress to the Skills Leads and accountable Client Partner.
Teamwork
- Collaborating well with your teammates and being efficient in delivery.
- Handling miscellaneous other tasks as agreed with your line manager and other Ninety senior leaders.
- Working with colleagues to develop and refine our approaches while expanding your own knowledge and skills.
Essential skills and experience
- 2+ years of work experience in a related field
- A degree (or work experience) in design, business, entrepreneurship, or research
- Have experience in identifying and delivering on growth opportunities and bringing products or services to market
- Experience in project management, coordination, and reporting.
- Ability to track, communicate and report digital programme status
- An interest in global trends, from culture to people and business to climate, and how that impacts our world
- Experience working in a creative environment with designers, and using human centred design & design thinking
- Financial analysis and business case development skills
- Knowledge in extant and emerging e-learning technology and propositions
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on innovation and digital transformation delivery experience, or equivalent from the tech startup scene.
- Strong, clear, broad and impressive evidence of involvement in innovation and digital transformation initiatives. We do not need you to have a software engineering background, but we are looking for a background such as:
● Innovation consulting or value proposition development, including MVP development, ideation management, pilot / PoCs, etc.
● Digital strategy & IT consulting, planning and roadmap development,
● Digital solution design & implementation (e.g., new web platforms, trading systems, UX/UI, content management migration, CRM, etc.), technology delivery (e.g. digital tech architecture, data hosting, integrations, test approaches, security considerations etc.)
- Evidence of Virtual Facilitation skills
- Evidence of information security sensitivity and data protection awareness and broad understanding of regulatory implications (esp. FCA).
- Understanding and interest in the insurance industry (desirable)
- Hands- on Innovation experience (desirable)
Desirable personal attributes
- Exceptional verbal, written, and technical communication skills and great planning and organisational skills, diplomacy and attention to detail
- A wizard with … Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Adobe Suite, Figma and Miro.
- Knowledgeable in data analysis tools and project management tools, like HubSpot and Trello.
- The ability to frame and tell the story of design solutions and to present the communication of research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
- Great storytelling, writing, and presentation skills. You will co-facilitate workshops and manage breakout groups
- Knowledgeable about the insurance industry

Location
The role is home based in the UK with visits to London or South-East for team collaboration and the potential for meeting clients if required.

Permanent full-time (4-day working week, Monday to Thursday).
