Operations Manager

This is a strategic role involving demand planning, purchasing, inventory management, stock sourcing, as well as management of the Operations Team.

A positive attitude is important, alongside a critical eye for detail to proactively manage all elements included within the operations process of Square Root.

The role is full-time, requiring 45 hours per week based at Square Root HQ in East London, with the option to work remotely two days per week. The role currently reports to the COO, Ed Taylor.

Brief Outline of Responsibility:

• Managing the team’s use of our inventory management software, Unleashed, to ensure accurate record-keeping of all stock.
• Liaising with the Production Manager to set the production schedule - ensuring the business responds effectively to sales demands with guidance from the Senior Management Team (SMT).
• Sign off on filing of production/packaging/warehouse team paperwork in alignment with the SALSA standard.
• Working with the Production Team to ensure correct quantities of raw materials, ingredients & supplies are purchased ahead of need.
• Working with the SMT to make strategic purchasing decisions where possible.
• Working with the SMT to find the best suppliers for Square Root’s raw materials.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Experience within a food manufacturing space.
• Awareness of HACCP and experience implementing the SALSA standard.
• Experience with inventory management software, such as Unleashed and good familiarity with Excel.
• Team player with strong analytical and communication skills.
• The desire to learn new things and the initiative to make it happen.
• The ability to adapt quickly without dropping anything and the ability to follow through on all commitments.
• Not afraid to speak up and put your own ideas forward.
• Able to work confidently under your own steam.

Compensation:

• £34-40K depending on experience
• Team bonus based on KPI targets
