Role Summary

Role Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Event Management, Production, Hospitality, or a related field
- 6-8 years of large-scale event production experience, including managing big budgets
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Airtable, project management tools, and ideally CAD or floor-planning software
- Understanding of sustainable event practices and accessible event planning principles

The role: As a Senior Producer, Event Production, you will join our Event Operations team to create world-class conference experiences. This role involves strategic planning, detailed logistics management, and creative execution. You will lead the sourcing, contracting, and execution of key event elements such as furnishings, d�cor, custom builds, temporary structures, and technical services. Collaborating across creative, production, and operations teams, you will translate bold ideas into seamless, on-the-ground experiences that embody TED�s commitment to excellence, accessibility, sustainability, and innovation.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor�s degree or diploma in Event Management, Production, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You should have 6�8 years of large-scale event production experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including managing multi-million-dollar budgets and multiple vendors. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Airtable, and project management tools is essential, and experience with CAD, Vectorworks, or floor-planning software is preferred. Familiarity with sustainable event practices, universal design, and accessible event planning principles is also required.
Benefits: This full-time role is based in San Diego, CA, and offers a salary range of $40 - $50 per hour. You must be authorized to work in the United States and must reside in or be willing to relocate to San Diego, California. The position requires regular on-site presence at event venues and offices.
