The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a WIVERN System and Operations Manager to join our Earth Observation Programmes Department, specifically within the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes (D/EOP). This role is based at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands.
The role: As the WIVERN System and Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the system and operations aspects of the WIVERN project, which is part of the Earth Explorer Missions Programme. Your responsibilities will include ensuring WIVERN's compliance with mission requirements, coordinating operations and ground segment-related activities, and leading the system and operations team. You will work closely with various teams across ESA, including ESRIN and ESOC, to manage all phase B1 activities and prepare for subsequent phases up to E1.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and at least 10 years of professional experience, or a bachelor's degree with an additional four years of experience.
