Role Summary

  • Manage supporters' participation in third-party events such as the Great North Run, London Landmarks Half, and marathons in Edinburgh, London, and Paris.
  • Maximize participation numbers and fundraising potential of these events.
  • Represent Samaritans at third-party events.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Communicate with event participants through various digital channels and support them in their fundraising journey.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in fundraising event management or community fundraising.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organise conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with marketing activities on both on- and offline channels.
  • Desirable: Experience working with volunteers, a fundraising database, and working to budgets and income targets.
