The Pricing Analyst position is a crucial role within the Trading Team, it has the responsibility for ensuring that So Energy are delivering accurate and dynamic prices to it’s customers in a complex and challenging environment.
What you will be doing:
- Mange the end-to-end pricing process for launching retail tariff prices
- Help the team develop effective pricing strategies
- Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure customers are charged the correct price
- Supporting the Regulations team on RFI (Requests for information)
- Supporting the Financial teams with business planning
- Responsibility for forecasting future price cap levels
- Ownership of the 3rd party cost changes
- Develop and maintain trading KPIs
- Support new product and proposition launches
- Calculate commodity risk premiums
- Build commodity curves for the retail pricing model
- Support the roll out of new and enhanced pricing systems
Requirements
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Good organisational and planning skills
- 1+ years’ experience of working in the GB energy or utilities sector
- Understanding of energy wholesale markets and commodity risk
- Understanding of industry process & parties
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mind-set with strong excel skills
- Experience of or willingness to learn technical skills such as SQL and Python
- Ambitious and seeking to develop new capabilities.
- Mathematics, science, engineering, economics or similar degree level education
