English Teacher

ISSOS is seeking qualified English Language Teachers to join our dynamic team. This role is based in St Andrews and offers a unique opportunity to teach international students aged 13-18. Our goal is to help students improve their English skills, including conversational abilities, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and listening.

The role: As an English Teacher, you will evaluate students' abilities, divide them into classes based on their skill level, and develop tailored lesson plans. You will teach for 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, over a 3-week program. Your responsibilities include creating engaging lesson plans, participating in evening activities, and ensuring the overall safety and happiness of the students.

Job requirements: Applicants must have a CELTA, certTESOL, or equivalent ESL/EFL qualification. Previous experience teaching and particularly teaching international students is preferred. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to be a positive role model are essential.

Benefits: The position offers £2,200 GBP per session, with the potential to earn £4,400 GBP for the full contract. Accommodation and meals are provided once students arrive. Staff are responsible for their meals during the orientation period. Travel expenses up to £150 are reimbursed.

Additional information: All staff must undergo a criminal background check. The role requires involvement in various program activities, including evening programs and day trips. Applicants must be UK citizens or have the legal right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.
