The role: As a member of the Kew Youth Council, you will work with our senior leadership team to help shape our initiatives and ensure that the perspectives of young people are considered in Kew's strategic decisions. This role involves attending quarterly in-person meetings at Kew Gardens, where you will engage in discussions on various agenda items and provide input on projects such as the EDI strategy, the October Exhibition, and the Science Strategy. Additionally, you will participate in various working groups based on your interests, which meet online monthly to plan and execute projects.

Job requirements: We are seeking young people aged 17-25 with diverse lived experiences who are willing to represent Kew and its work. You should be able to offer opinions, ideas, and perspectives on a wide range of organisational matters.

Benefits: While the position is voluntary, it offers the opportunity to influence a major conservation organisation and to network with other youth advocacy organisations. Members will also be invited to various events at Kew and beyond, raising their profile within the conservation and youth advocacy sectors.
