Role Summary
- Support TED's strategic communities through drafting communications for events and coordinating their operations.
- Facilitate seamless coordination between cross-functional workstreams for TED conferences and year-long community programming, both virtual and in-person.
- Create unique, audience-focused experiences for donors, newcomers, and various community groups.
Role Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in event organization, community programming, operations, and/or communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and willingness to learn new tools.
- Preferred experience with Airtable, CRM systems, Zendesk, or similar customer service software, and basic experience in reporting/analysis.

The role: As the Audience Development Coordinator, you will support TED’s strategic communities by drafting event communications, coordinating event operations, and keeping cross-functional workstreams on track across TED conferences and year-round community programming (virtual and in-person). You will help deliver outstanding, audience-tailored experiences for donors, newcomers, and other community groups. This is a 3-month engagement with the possibility of extension.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in events, community programming, operations, communications, customer experience, and/or project coordination. Strong written communication and editing skills, experience supporting virtual and in-person events, professional customer support skills, and strong organizational skills are essential. Working knowledge of Google Workspace and comfort learning new tools are required. Experience with Airtable, CRM systems, Zendesk, or similar customer service software, and basic reporting/analysis experience are nice to have.
Benefits: This role offers a competitive hourly wage of CAD $22–$28. You will be working in a contract capacity, primarily on-site in Vancouver, and must be available from April 12-17, 2026. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am-4 pm PT.
