Role Summary

  • Facilitate delivery of the Nature Unlocked programme at Wakehurst.
  • Coordinate research, disseminate outcomes and track progress for significant research impact.
  • Liaise with Kew scientists, Public Programmes, and Marketing & Communications teams.
  • Support the Wakehurst Ecosystem Observatory research facility’s day-to-day operations.

Role Requirements

  • Strong administrative and programme coordination experience.
  • Ability to manage timelines, reporting requirements, and multiple priorities across a complex research programme.
  • A keen interest in science with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders about technical content.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.

The role: As a Nature Unlocked Programme Officer, you will facilitate the delivery of the Nature Unlocked programme at Kew Wakehurst. This involves coordinating research activity, disseminating research outcomes, and tracking progress to ensure the programme delivers significant research impact for Wakehurst and the region. You will work closely with Kew scientists, Public Programmes, and Marketing & Communications teams, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Wakehurst Ecosystem Observatory research facility and liaising with a growing network of external collaborators.

Job requirements: The successful candidate will bring strong administrative and programme coordination experience, with the ability to manage timelines, reporting requirements, and competing priorities across a complex research programme. A keen interest in science and confidence in engaging internal and external stakeholders with technical content are essential. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships are also required.
