At Entrepreneur First (“EF”), we believe that a small number of exceptional people will have an extraordinary impact by creating the technology companies which shape the future in ways we cannot yet imagine. We also believe that for many of these individuals, entrepreneurship is not an obvious or entirely legible career path.

We exist to identify, and amplify the impact of, these individuals. We do this via our unique approach to company creation which sees usidentify and work with outliers before they even know they’re outliers, right through to the day they prove it. We call this Talent Investing.

The companies built at EF are now worth over $10B. They include Tractable (a computer vision unicorn), Cleo, Omnipresent, Aztec, Airbank, Transcelestial and many more. The portfolio is fast growing, with its companies having increased in value by more than 70% in the past year. EF is funded and backed by some of the world's best founders and investors, including Patrick and John Collison (Stripe), Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Tom Blomfield (GoCardless and Monzo) and Demis Hassabis (Google Deepmind). Having raised our Series C round of investment at the end of 2021, we are well-capitalised out to 2026 and have ambitious plans to further scale our impact over the coming years.

The Role

As the leading talent investor, EF is a people focused business, and our team of 100+ globally are dedicated to maximising the success of our founders, community, and the startup ecosystems in which we operate.  Spread across Europe, Asia and North America, we work together as global and local teams to continue to build out our platform and enable the next generation of entrepreneurs to found important companies with us.  Ten years into our mission we have outsized ambition to build a global institution including exciting expansion and growth plans in 2023.

Reporting to the Head of People, the Recruiting Business Partner will join a thriving HR team of five working at the heart of EF managing all People Opertions, HR Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition support globally.  You’ll be based in London, working closely with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations to ensure we build diverse, high-performing teams and are attractive to top talent as an employer of choice.

What You'll Do

* Own end-to-end hiring for our Talent Investing and programme teams in Europe & North America (these are all non-tech business functions);

* Work with your key stakeholders to plan, prepare, run and deliver between 5-10 hires simultaneously, sometimes in sprints, and balancing unwaivering quality with speed and effectiveness;

* Work with our Chief Product Officer, VP Marketing and Chief of Staff to shape our internal Employer Value Proposition, then build out and own how we communicate this with our target talent pool globally;

* Run additional programmatic projects such as graduate and future leader hiring each year, selecting small groups of exceptional talents to meet our hiring plan and increase talent density across the organisation;

* Be a trusted advisor by providing strategic inputs into thinking around Diversity & Inclusion, market research, organisation design, talent data and salary benchmarking;

* Take a data minded approach to all aspects of talent attraction and acquisition, leveraging insights to guide future decisions;

* Join or own other People, Talent or cross functuonal projects based on EF’s developing priorities;

* Collaborate with the rest of the People team on a host of shared OKRs and goals aligned to our north star of enabling EF to be and remain the world’s best talent investor.

This role is based in London, reporting to our Head of People, and should start immediately (before 1st April 2023).  Our team splits their time between work (our office is at Senna Building, Gorsuch Place - right next to Hoxton Overground) and home which we hope this reflects the best of both worlds.

About You

* You’ll likely have around 5-7 years’ experience in an end to end Talent Acquisition role in a fast-paced and changing environment such as a high growth tech company or a dynamic startup / scaleup;

* You’re passionate about hiring for a variety of non-tech roles and know how to identify and network within exceptional non-tech talent communities;

* You value ownership and accountability, both in terms of your own BAU hiring pipeline plus also projects you take on, and can balance varied work of both a strategic and operational nature;

* You love talent branding and are active on social media, with a desire to boost awareness and engagement across multiple channels;

* You recognise the importance of startups to changing the world so connect deeply with EF’s mission, plus you also have a keen interest in global talent, people and culture;

* You’re proactive - you thrive on creating thoughtful 5* candidate experiences and love to take initiative to improve on the status quo;

* You’re a team player motivated by shared goals and embrace change;

* You’re mission driven and maintain a customer-centric approach that shapes your thinking and drives your determination to achieve great results.

What We Offer

* A competitive salary plus generous cash bonus of maximum £15,000 annually based on performance, as well as the opportunity to participate in Entrepreneur First’s global equity scheme;

* Collaboration with a growth minded and diverse team in Europe, Asia and North America;

* Generous holidays: in addition to 23 days holiday (plus public holidays) we also close the office down for around two weeks over Christmas & New Year;
