We are a community of travelers, united by their love for travel, adventure, and discovering faraway lands and cultures. We bring together small groups of like-minded millennials and send them on life-changing experiences to 100+ destinations all over the globe.

WeRoad Tech & Marketing
At WeRoad Tech is not just “tech.” It’s a multidisciplinary team of Product Designers, Full Stack Designers, Engineers, and Developers that together designs, executes and optimizes the WeRoad digital experience. Growth Marketing for us is the intersection of paid media, SEO, marketing solutions and analytics. Our main goal is to contribute, in synergy with tech and business teams, to customer acquisition and retention.
There's no such thing as an "ordinary" day at WeRoad. We are constantly sharing and testing new things and working on a lot of different projects, each with their own complexities. We build our solutions in-house, which means we offer a complex architecture and a variety of different tasks to work on.
Meet two tech team members here!
About the role
We’re looking for a passionate, curious, and proactive team player who’s not afraid to get stuck in across every part of the design process to achieve our vision for a better user experience.
You’ll be working to launch new products, revamping and continuously optimizing existing ones. From initial exploration to validating potential solutions, you’ll work to ensure we’re delivering the best possible experiences that are easy to use, and deliver real value. You’ll work mainly on end-user facing products, but also on internal facing applications where usability is a key factor for success, enabling user managing complex processes.
You won’t be going at it alone! You’ll be joining our digital product team, reporting directly into the Head of Digital Product.
We’re early on in our journey of Product & UX, so you’ll be growing with us, helping to set the foundations for the discipline.
What you’ll do:
- Flex your full UX toolkit to drive a user-centric approach across the business, demonstrating the immense value it brings.
- Proactively seek opportunities to optimize existing flows, features, and experiences across our products, supported with evidence and rationale
- Conduct user research to identify and validate opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Turn abstract ideas into reality through wireframes, journeys, prototypes, and UI designs. Partner with product managers, designers and engineers to produce solutions that balance technical feasibility, usability and user experience.
- Take stakeholders on a journey, with clear explanations using data, best practice, and principles.
- Be loud and proud! Run collaborative workshops that bring people together to explore, ideate, plan and critique.
- Help shape our culture by challenging assumptions, championing curiosity, and managing stakeholder expectations across streams of work.
- Build the foundations, and level up our tooling, processes, and spearhead the growth of the design team here at WeRoad. This includes maintaining and improving our component libraries, templates, and guides.
What you must bring to the table:
- 3+ years’ hand-on experience creating experiences across a range of platforms and channels that demonstrates your varied UX toolkit
- Design and delivery process, from initial discovery, through to reviewing post-live performance and implementing iterative improvements
- Wireframing, journey mapping and prototyping skills through tools like Figma, Invision, Sketch or your chosen design software.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to research and problem-solving as part of cross-functional teams
- Experience defining and validating assumptions and hypothesis, using a range of qualitative (user research) & quantitative (product analytics) sources
- Great analytical skills with a proven ability to identify behaviors, hypothesis, and issues by pulling together a variety of data
- Experience with online user-testing software and tools
- Making use of the insights gathered
- Great time and workload management
- A proactive attitude and passion to get involved. You’ll need to feel comfortable to take the reins and get stuck in without being asked
- A ‘make it happen’ approach. You enjoy a fast pace and dynamic environment
Bonus skills and nice to haves:
- Experience in Travel and understanding of the industry.
- Familiarity with development software and development processes.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems

We ask that you make the effort to come in and use the space to help run workshops, collaborate and work In person when it makes sense.
